CIRCOM, in partnership with our colleagues at MTVA Hungary, organised an exciting new opportunity for mobile journalists, the first CIRCOM – MTVA Mojo Challenge 2014.

The challenge took place in Budapest between October 12th and 19th 2014, and was open to CIRCOM members only. 24 journalists from 12 countries took part and all of them used a Nokia Lumia 930 Windows Phone for filming, kindly supplied for the event by Microsoft. The challenge was in a form of a competition where stories were produced in Budapest and were judged by a panel of experts with awards presented to the winner and highly commended in "Beginners" and "Advanced" categories. The judges had a tough job with the top 5 in each category coming close. They also commented on the high quality of the pictures and were very impressed with what could be achieved with smart phone.
